AMTOWER OFF-CENTER OBSERVATIONS
Item: I am back after a month of no newsletters and many reminders from you that I was not writing. I am getting closer to a starting blog at www.Federaldirect.com which will partly take the place of the weekly newsletter. This will allow direct feedback from readers. The blog will not totally replace The Amtower Report, which will come out the first and last week of each month. .And speaking of The Amtower Report, this is the 183rd Report and the first issue of our fifth year of publishing.
Item: Government Marketing Best Practices (the seminar) is back on September 22 at the Tower Club in Vienna, Virginia. Our guest speakers include marketing veteran Fred Diamond (Diamond Marketing, www.FredDiamond.com ), Federal sales expert Max Peterson, MDF Maestro Bob Gosselin, and Michelle Barnum of Altiris discussing the Altiris web site makeover ( www.altiris.com ). Seating is limited to 60 and we anticipate a sell-out, so reserve your seats now. See Events below.
Item: The fifth Amtower B2G Catalog Summit on Selling Products to Government returns to Chicago on October 25. See Events below.
Item: Best Buy Government radio spots are back, touting a wide variety of products for the end of Federal FY. I will assume the products are being offered on the open market, as there is no listing yet for the GSA Schedule that BB announced (16 months ago) it was seeking. One of the delivery options is the convenience of picking up the order at a store. All the convenience of open market and pickup what a concept!
Not that I have an opinion.
