AMTOWER OFF-CENTER OBSERVATIONS
Item: This is our first issue of 2007 and I apologize for being delinquent. I am going to try to publish every other week in 2007. This will be a VERY short newsletter, but it will get back to 3 pages with the next issue - so Stay Tuned!
Item: Federal Computer Week reported today the ITES-2H contract was awarded to 4 large and 2 small businesses: large Apptis, CDWG, Dell and IBM; small GTSI and World Wide Tech. Hmmm isn’t GTSI bigger than Apptis?
Item: Our next Government Marketing Best Practices is next week see Events below.
Item: I have accepted the invitation of WFED to move my radio show form WBIS (Annapolis) to WFED (1150 AM) in Washington. The show will start sometime in the March April timeframe.
Item: FOSE is back and rumor has it the battle of the bags has returned. Best Buy will bring the MEGA-BAG.. It measures a full 30 inches across by 22 inches deep with a 8 inch gusset. This is roughly the size of luxury hotel suites in the Far East and requires insurance and a license to operate in public. Metro riders riders!
Not that I have an opinion.
EVENTS WORTH ATTENDING
Beware of the schlock vendors, producing minimal value events, events that eat your money with no significant return! The events listed below are among those I think are worth your time, money and effort. Just because an event is not listed below does not imply it is not worth attending. If you want my opinion on a specific event or producer, call me. This topic is addressed more thoroughly in the members section at www.GovernmentMarketingBestPractices.com.
